Call For Abstracts
Closing date for submission of abstracts is February 1, 2008
IFIS offers an opportunity for government, academia, industry, and other technical experts to present information on flight inspection related topics. The symposium also provides organizations the opportunity to showcase their products and services.
Commercial Presentations: A portion of the first day of the symposium will be allocated to commercial presentations. This will give companies and organizations an opportunity to market their products and services. Time slots will be limited to one per company/organization. Refer to Important Dates to Remember for the cutoff date for requests.
Topics for Technical Presentation: Suggested topics, based on feedback from the previous symposium, are listed below:
- Flight Inspection Organization and Commercialization
- International Standards
- Operational Environment
- Performance Based Navigation Procedures
- Database Design and Integrity
- Ground Based Navigation Systems
- RF Interference and Multipath
- Innovations in Equipment and Procedures
- CNS Systems and Procedures on the Horizon
- Other Related Topics
Abstract Guidelines: Abstracts should be no more than 200 words and must be received on or before February 1, 2008. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their abstracts by February 15, 2008. Abstracts can be uploaded to the event website or submitted via fax or email.
Final Papers: Final papers should be submitted both as a Microsoft Word document, for publication in the proceedings book, and as a Microsoft PowerPoint slide show, to be presented during the proceedings. The due date for each is listed under Important Dates to Remember. Format for papers and presentations and information regarding submissions will be included with each notification of abstract acceptance. This information will also be provided at the event website.
