Travel Tips

The following travel tips will help make your trip more enjoyable.

  • Travel Documents: Before leaving home make sure you have all the necessary travel documents: passport, airline reservations, hotel reservation confirmation number, rental car information, etc. Remember to leave important emergency contact information with your office and family members!

  • Currency Exchange: http://www.xe.com/

  • Security Clearance: Have you filed the security clearance form to attend the static aircraft display at ARINC and the FAA tour?

  • Airport: Will Rogers World Airport http://www.flyokc.com/ Airport maps, rental cars, flight information, etc.

  • Ground Transportation:Airport Express shuttle service from the airport to your hotel no reservation required; return trip, from your hotel to the airport reservations required - (405) 681-3311. Please call the day before you leave. Taxi cabs are also available at the airport and hotels, prices start a $20, no reservations required.

  • Oklahoma Convention and Visitors Bureau: http://www.okccvb.org/

  • Parking: For local attendees daily parking is available ($6 cash only, each time you enter) at Republic Parking, beneath the Cox Convention Center, enter off of Robinson street. Hotel valet parking is $20 overnight.

  • Dress: Business casual, comfortable walking shoes for tours, layered clothing for your comfort, and a jacket or sweater. Temperatures in large rooms are difficult to adjust quickly and the air conditioning will be on in Oklahoma!

  • Weather/Temperature: Average temperatures Oklahoma during June averages 86-91 degrees Fahrenheit or 30.0-32.8 degrees Celsius. www.noaa.gov or http://www.weather.com/

  • Conference Registration Check-in, Cox Convention Center, Second Floor Foyer: An early registration check-in will be held Sunday afternoon, the 22nd, from 15:00-20:00. Regular conference registration will open at 07:00 Monday morning, the 23rd. All conference attendees, including presenters, exhibitors, and accompanying persons, need to check-in and pick up your name badge, program, and other materials.
